Nottingham Forest Football Club has reportedly parted ways with head coach Steve Cooper following a series of disappointing results, with Nuno Espirito Santo poised to take over. The decision comes after Forest’s struggles, winning only one of their last 13 games, including lackluster performances against Everton and Fulham. Owner Evangelos Marinakis, who observed the defeat against Tottenham remotely, made the decision during a board meeting on December 19. Nuno, the former Wolves and Tottenham manager, is set to return to English football after a stint in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad. His last managerial role in England was with Tottenham in 2021, where he was dismissed after less than four months. Cooper, who joined in September 2021, successfully led Forest to promotion to the Premier League in 2022 after inheriting a team at the bottom of the Championship.
