Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), issued a stern warning to governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against meddling in the party’s affairs in Rivers State. Wike’s warning came after he cast his vote during the Rivers PDP State Congress in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
Wike expressed his displeasure with certain PDP governors who, according to him, are planning to take control of the party structure in Rivers State. He cautioned these governors, saying, “I will put fire in their states. When God has given you peace, you say you don’t want peace. Whether you are in Bauchi or wherever, your hands will get burnt. You will never see peace again.”
The former Rivers State Governor also took a swipe at his successor, referring to him as an “unstable character” and alluding to rumors that he may join the Action Peoples Party (APP). Wike concluded by saying, “Let them wait for us during the election.”
