Verydarkman Roars at Lord’s Chosen Member’s Testimony Video, to Take Legal Action Against CAN

Written by Oryiman David Mson

Nigerian social media activist Verydarkman has expressed outrage over a recent testimony by a member of the Lord’s Chosen church.

In a video that has gone viral, an elderly man shared a testimony during a church service about how he overpowered his kidnappers and survived dangerous physical attacks. This testimony, like many others from the Lord’s Chosen members, has caught the attention of Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), who has been vocal about his skepticism towards these claims.

Reacting to the footage, Verydarkman called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to investigate the church’s practices. He voiced his concern over the nature of these testimonies, suggesting they may be misleading to the Christian community. He further indicated his intent to sue the church for what he considers to be the spread of false narratives among Christians.

In his response to the testimony video, VDM expressed disbelief at the claims made by the church member. In the video, the man claimed that he was shot at but remained unharmed, and even survived a cutlass strike to the head, which he said bounced off without causing injury. Verydarkman criticized these testimonies, arguing that they are far-fetched and aimed at deceiving the congregation.

This incident follows another controversial testimony that emerged last week. A woman testified about being attacked by four armed robbers, claiming that she managed to disarm them by taking their pistol, which she mistakenly identified as an AK-27. The pastor corrected her, saying it was an AK-47. These sensational claims have raised eyebrows, leading to widespread discussions on social media.

In his critique, VDM stated: “CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA get ready for me ooo, this nonzenzzze needs to stop, now them don dey get spiritual iron for head Abi? All these chosen members.”

Verydarkman’s outcry has sparked conversations about the authenticity of such testimonies and the potential consequences of propagating what he believes to be fabrications.

Verydarkman has also directed his criticisms toward other religious leaders, including Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, the general overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries (CMDM) in Warri, Delta State. In a recent video, Prophet Fufeyin was seen performing a miracle on a woman who was allegedly unable to walk. After being touched with a hand towel soaked in what was described as holy water, the woman reportedly began to walk.

This act, along with other miracles performed by Prophet Fufeyin, has been questioned by Verydarkman. He has been in a long-term feud with the clergyman, especially following the latter’s healing water project. VDM has called for such content to be banned from television, suggesting that it may be misleading to viewers.

VDM’s critiques have led to a broader discussion within the Christian community and beyond about the credibility of certain testimonies and miracles being presented in churches. His call for action from the Christian Association of Nigeria signifies a demand for accountability and transparency within religious institutions.

This situation continues to unfold as more unusual testimonies emerge, with Verydarkman leading the charge for a more critical examination of such claims. As he prepares to take legal action, the Christian Association of Nigeria may be faced with addressing these concerns to maintain the integrity of religious practices.
