According to the police report, the incident occurred on August 23, 2024, around 4:30 a.m. The three victims, all commercial sex workers, had been picked up by the suspects from Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Bode Thomas, Surulere. The suspects, who posed as clients, drove the victims to a secluded location under the pretense of lodging them. However, upon arrival, the situation quickly took a sinister turn.
The suspects demanded that the victims surrender their valuables, threatening them with harm if they did not comply. In the course of the robbery, the suspects made away with two iPhones valued at ₦1.05 million, a REDMI Note 12 worth ₦140,000, and an iPhone SR valued at ₦240,000. The victims, who managed to escape without physical harm, immediately reported the incident to the police. The police swiftly launched an investigation, leading to the identification and subsequent arrest of the suspects. During the investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime, and law enforcement officers were able to recover some of the stolen items, including the REDMI Note 12.
