The FCT Police Command has refuted reports of thugs attacking commuters during traffic in Abuja, clarifying that the incident captured in a viral video actually occurred in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The command emphasized the importance of verifying information, especially in the digital sphere, and assured residents of its commitment to their safety and security.
SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson of the command, stated that Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh Psc. Mni, has ordered a comprehensive investigation to determine the source of the misinformation and the motives behind its dissemination. The command intends to take legal action to address the issue and urged the public to remain vigilant and discerning in consuming information.
