Written by Oryiman David Mson

The Lagos State Police Command has detained a man for allegedly causing the death of his 47-year-old younger brother. The incident reportedly occurred on August 23 in the Iba area of Lagos.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesperson, the tragic event was reported to the police on August 24 by an unnamed individual. The report stated that the suspect, identified as Ayodeji Busari, pushed his younger brother during a dispute, causing him to fall and hit his head on a pavement.

The younger brother, who had traveled from Port Harcourt to visit a friend in Lagos, became unconscious after the fall. He was immediately rushed to Igando General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor.

Police detectives have since visited the scene, taken photographs, and moved the body to the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti-Yaba for further investigation.
