Afropop singer Oxlade has extended financial help to a woman who brought an empty pot to the #EndBadGovernance protest to highlight her struggle with hunger and lack of food.
On August 1st, the protest commenced across Nigeria, with individuals in various states expressing their dissatisfaction with the current government through placards and demonstrations. Among the protesters, the woman’s photo holding an empty pot went viral, garnering sympathetic reactions from many.
Moved by her plight, Oxlade took to his Twitter page to share her photo and announce his intention to give her N500,000. He wrote:
“Someone please help me find this woman, I’ve got 500k for her 🙏🏾”
