NAFDAC Investigates ‘Miracle Soap’ Sold by Pastor Jeremiah’s Ministry

Written by Oryiman David Mson

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched an investigation into the ‘miracle water’ and ‘miracle soap’ sold by Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin. The agency has accused the church of using its name to mislead and deceive the public.

This action follows a complaint from controversial activist Martins Otse Vincent, known as Verydarkman, who reported the church to NAFDAC. Vincent criticized Pastor Jeremiah for selling products that he claimed were divinely powerful for free to his members. A viral Instagram video by Vincent challenged the legitimacy of these claims.

In a statement issued by NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the agency clarified that none of the products promoted by the church are registered with them. NAFDAC’s statement read:

“NAFDAC wishes to alert the public about the activities of Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, which is allegedly using our name to deceive the public. We have received numerous petitions regarding the Miracle Water and Miracle Soap being advertised by the church. The church claims these products have healing properties, including the ability to cure barrenness and ensure twins for women. However, NAFDAC has no record of these products being registered with us.

“Concerned citizens have submitted samples of these products for verification, including Miracle & Healing Water, River Jordan Water, Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida, A New Beginning Mount Camel Miracle Water, and other variants. NAFDAC is investigating these claims and will provide updates as the situation unfolds.”
