Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has confidently stated that he will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking during the inauguration of the newly renovated NNPP Secretariat in Katsina, Kwankwaso made his bold declaration in the presence of party members and supporters. The event also coincided with his visit to the Yar’adua family to offer condolences on the passing of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.
Addressing the gathering, Kwankwaso assured his audience that the NNPP is fully prepared to not only contest but to win the presidency, governorships, and other key positions across the country in the next general elections. He expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s trajectory, emphasizing that the NNPP is positioned for major success in 2027.
“I want to remind you that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead,” Kwankwaso said, referring to the party he once belonged to. “We were part of the PDP, but as it lost its way, we made the decision to leave and pursue a new path with the NNPP.” According to Kwankwaso, the 2027 elections will mark a decisive shift in Nigeria’s political landscape, with the NNPP rising as a force to reckon with.
He called on Nigerians, especially the youth and women, to remain vigilant and not allow themselves to be swayed by short-term incentives like money or material goods during the election period. “Don’t let anyone deceive you with spaghetti, food, or money during the next elections,” Kwankwaso warned, stressing the importance of staying focused on the long-term future of the nation.
The Kwankwasiyya movement leader urged party stakeholders to double their efforts in mobilizing support, ensuring that the party is prepared for the monumental tasks ahead. He lauded the dedication of NNPP leaders in Katsina for their work in revamping the state secretariat, noting that their efforts are crucial steps toward ensuring the party’s readiness for future victories.
Kwankwaso also took the opportunity to address the need for unity and commitment within the NNPP, saying, “This is the time for all of us to come together and work harder. We have the potential to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape, but we must remain committed, disciplined, and united.”
The NNPP leader’s remarks have sparked discussions across political circles, with many viewing his declaration as a clear indication that Kwankwaso is gearing up for an intense and focused campaign as he eyes the nation’s highest office in 2027.
As the NNPP continues to build momentum, Kwankwaso’s bold confidence and vision for the future of Nigeria seem poised to energize his supporters, making the 2027 election a highly anticipated contest on the national stage.
