Hajiya Dada, the mother of the late former Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and the late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, passed away on Monday at an advanced age.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed his deep sorrow and extended his condolences to the Yar’Adua family following Hajiya Dada’s passing.
In a statement released on Monday by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu offered his sympathies to Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, the people of Katsina State, and all those whose lives were touched by the late matriarch.
While mourning her loss, President Tinubu praised Hajiya Dada’s legacy, highlighting her qualities of compassion, faith, honesty, and good fellowship. He also prayed for the repose of her soul, affirming that she will be fondly remembered for the support, peace, joy, and comfort she provided to many throughout her life.
