Governor Hyacinth Alia has extended his congratulations to Chef Naira Victor, also known as Victor Tartenger, for successfully completing a 135-hour cook-a-thon. The governor commended the chef for his tenacity, determination, and go-getter spirit. Chef Naira Victor, a Benue native, embarked on the cooking marathon, codenamed “Cook-A-Thon,” from February 27 to March 3, showcasing his culinary skills and endurance.
Governor Alia expressed his excitement at Chef Naira Victor’s resilient spirit and believes that this milestone will serve as a stepping stone to more successes in the future. The governor also acknowledged the support of the people of the state and other well-wishers who contributed to making the chef’s dream a reality.
Chef Naira Victor not only showcased his cooking prowess but also demonstrated a spirit of generosity by donating over 70% of the prepared food to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The chef is now awaiting recognition from the Guinness World Record for his remarkable achievement.
Governor Alia used the occasion to encourage the people of the state to embrace sportsmanship and unity, showcasing the positive spirit demonstrated towards Chef Naira Victor. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, aligning with his campaign promises.
