The Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) has emerged as a powerful force for spiritual transformation worldwide. Since its inception three years ago, GCK has impacted over 180 nations, witnessed 600,000 conversions, and attracted 5.9 million attendees to its evangelistic campaigns.
At the helm of GCK is Dr. William Kumuyi, the esteemed pastor and founder of Deeper Life Christian Ministry, established in 1973. At 83, Dr. Kumuyi continues to inspire audiences globally with his expository preaching and dedication to biblical truth.
Pastor Niran Seriki, based in the UK and a national pastor for Deeper Life in Belgium, has been instrumental in coordinating GCK’s global crusades. Seriki was part of the initiative from the beginning when Dr. Kumuyi shared his vision on June 21, 2021. With Seriki’s efforts, what started as a local gathering in Nigeria quickly expanded into a global movement through partnerships and livestreaming on platforms like Zoom and YouTube.
The crusades, described by Daniel Afolayan as akin to Billy Graham’s style, feature Dr. Kumuyi’s preaching, musical worship, and prayers. They have taken place in various countries, including Cameroon, India, Nigeria, the Philippines, the UAE, and Zambia. Each event draws large crowds to open-air arenas for multilingual praise and Gospel proclamation, often leading to mass conversions and healings.
GCK also organizes concurrent youth and ministers’ conferences during the crusades. These events are streamed online with digital language translation, extending their reach further through television, radio, and YouTube programs.
The success of GCK relies on a vast network of volunteers, global partners, and financial support from Deeper Life in Nigeria. Despite funding challenges, Nathan Drake, GCK’s marketing director, emphasizes their reliance on divine provision.
Conversion figures are meticulously collected from both virtual and physical attendees, and follow-up programs equip new converts with resources for their Christian journey. Special events, like local medical services, are often held before crusades to attract diverse audiences.
Looking ahead, GCK plans to host its first US gathering in July 2025, aiming to partner with various Christian denominations and groups.
Working with GCK has profoundly impacted the personal spiritual growth of its leaders, reinforcing their faith and commitment to their mission.
GCK has been a member of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) since 2023, continuing to expand its influence and reach globally.
