Written by Oryiman David Mson

In a remarkable gesture of kindness, Rev. John Eze, the Methodist Bishop of Nsukka, distributed free fuel to commercial motorcyclists (okada riders) in the Eha Amufu community of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area in Enugu State. This act was aimed at alleviating the financial burdens faced by the riders due to the prevailing economic hardships in Nigeria.

The free fuel distribution took place at the Eha Amufu Motor Park and was met with great enthusiasm from the motorbike riders, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the unexpected aid. Bishop Eze emphasized that the initiative was designed to provide some relief to the hardworking riders and help ease the financial strain on the community.

In his statement, Bishop Eze expressed his joy at seeing the positive impact of his gesture and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the community and making a difference in people’s lives.

Beneficiaries of the free fuel praised the Bishop’s generosity, with one of them, Chukwuma Okoro, noting that the gift would significantly aid in sustaining many families. The gesture has also garnered widespread appreciation on social media, with community members offering prayers and expressing gratitude for the Bishop’s support.

This act of benevolence highlights the growing need for community support initiatives amid economic challenges and serves as an example of how individual efforts can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
