Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia. As a concerned stakeholder and the Special Assistant to Governor Alia on Social Media, I find it imperative to address and clarify the misleading assertions presented by Hon. Achado.
It is disheartening to witness a respected stakeholder resort to the use of demeaning language and false accusations on a public platform. As public figures, a certain level of maturity is expected when addressing grievances, and it is regrettable that such decorum was not maintained in this instance.
Governor Alia’s decision to suspend the primary elections for the Guma 1 State Constituency was made in the interest of public safety. Guma Local Government is known for its volatility and security concerns. Allowing the elections to proceed amidst tension and misconduct could have led to violence, jeopardizing the relative peace currently experienced in the area.
It is crucial to emphasize that stakeholders were involved in the decision-making process, and there was unanimous agreement with the Governor’s choice. Governor Alia’s commitment to the safety and well-being of the people guided this decision.
Achado’s reference to his own electoral history, breaking away with a victory due to the “Yes Fada mantra,” should not overshadow the fact that baseless accusations and disrespectful remarks only tarnish the political discourse. It is essential to engage in constructive dialogue rather than resorting to cheap shots that undermine the political process.
The post urges Hon. Achado to express his concerns and intentions clearly rather than attempting to confuse the public with unfounded accusations. It emphasizes the need to avoid baseless allegations, encourage investigations, and provide room for evaluations before passing judgment on anyone’s actions.
Finally, the public is encouraged to verify news from trustworthy and reliable sources before sharing. The post concludes with a reminder that words and actions have consequences, urging individuals not to emulate the approach taken by Hon. Achado.
