In Ibadan, Oyo State, unknown gunmen have abducted Benedick Akika from his residence. The kidnapping occurred on Wednesday evening at his home in Olorunda Aba, located within the Lagelu Local Government Area.
As of Thursday, the whereabouts of Akika remain unknown.
The Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, has confirmed the abduction and stated that an investigation is underway. “Investigation has commenced into the matter. Updates will be provided accordingly,” Osifeso said.
This incident follows a series of recent security concerns in the region, including other kidnappings and violent events.
