Too Prince, one of the gifted singers, songwriters, and a top rapper from Benue State, is under fire from fans demanding refunds or delivery on promised services. According to fans’ comments, Too Prince received payments but failed to deliver his verse or fulfill his commitments.
A very humble and dedicated Tiv cultural promoter, the CEO of Tiv Kingdom, shared his frustration on his page:
“Dear, Too Prince, this is the second post I am making concerning your industry scam. I didn’t know anything about you or your music career until I decided to make an album with the best musicians of TIV origin. 90% of the people on the Tiv Kingdom Facebook page included you in their top 10. I had no option but to contact you even when some people were already warning me not to get you involved in the project based on their personal experience. I had to respect the opinions of the people on this page and contact whoever they nominated. You were among the first set of people I contacted from the beginning of the project on the 6th of May 2024. I made a payment on the 18th of May and contacted the producer who has been waiting for you since that day. You took the money and disappeared. I was thinking that maybe something happened to you, but your pages remained active. I know that you didn’t die because it would have been on the news. Sickness wouldn’t stop you from reaching out either.
It’s been more than two months since you have been holding this project down without any explanation and you clearly don’t care. 13 other artists who were recommended just like you by their fans have already recorded their verses, some even from the US, Ghana, Lagos, and Abuja, with the majority recording at Slim Birdie studio who dedicated his studio for the project in Makurdi without hesitation.
I made a post the other day, and someone came from your page saying that he is your page manager. I asked the page manager to reach out to you so that we can settle this amicably, but you refuse to reach out or even make any attempts to resolve it. It has been established that you have a management team, and they are also aware because they responded through Facebook and the WhatsApp number you used to scam me was gotten from the page.
When I made the post about you, I received so many comments from people including upcoming artists, executive producers, and producers accusing you of doing the same thing to them or their loved ones. Me, I will not let you do the same thing to me and go freely. That is my hard-earned money, and you don’t know how I make it.
Many people hit me up after the post trying to fix the problem. Some even said they called you, and you allegedly explained what happened to them, but you are clearly not interested in communicating with me or returning my money. I am the only person that you can’t talk to about the situation like I have offended you.
If I don’t get a response from you with my money in the next 24 hours, I will be reporting you to the right authorities for scams including EFCC, and I am willing to go to any length within legal jurisdiction to make you pay.
To his lovely fans who nominated him, I did everything possible to get him on the project, but he only paid back by taking my money and sabotaging the project. I wanted to replace him, but I didn’t know how to explain to you guys when the project was out.
I have spent almost a million Naira trying to put this project together for the culture, and it should have been out a long time ago if not for this local champion who is using the love that the audience has for him to scam and frustrate people who are willing to invest in the industry.
