Written by Oryiman David Mson

Veteran Nigerian singer Gentleman Mike Ejeagha has been overwhelmed with emotion after his 2010 highlife song “Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche” went viral, thanks to skit maker Brain Jotter.

The song, released 14 years ago, resurfaced when Brain Jotter featured it in a skit, creating a dance move that synced perfectly with the music. The skit gained massive popularity, receiving 659,000 likes on Instagram and over 11 million views on TikTok.

The song, coupled with Brain Jotter’s dance, quickly spread across Nigeria and even reached some Asian countries. The resurgence of the song brought a lot of attention to Mike Ejeagha, with content creators paying homage to the veteran singer. In a touching video, a TikToker named @anyigoldtv presented Ejeagha with an envelope, presumably containing money, while informing him of his song’s newfound success.

The emotional moment saw Ejeagha break down in tears, offering prayers and expressing his gratitude for the recognition and support.

Stay tuned for more updates.
