Written by Oryiman David Mson

Nollywood star and emerging filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has shared a heartfelt reflection on his career as he prepares for the premiere of his latest film, “Lisabi – The Uprising,” which is set to debut on Netflix on September 27th.

In a recent Instagram post, Adedimeji released the official trailer for the movie and expressed his gratitude for the journey that led him to this significant milestone. His message highlighted the trials and triumphs encountered during the film’s production, though he chose to focus on the positive aspects and blessings he has experienced.

“I can go on and on to tell you what we went through to make this happen,” Adedimeji shared. “But today is about counting my blessings.” He described his transition from a backstage enthusiast to leading a team of stars in this cinematic project as a significant achievement.

The film, “Lisabi – The Uprising,” is a tribute to the struggles and sacrifices of past heroes who fought for the freedoms enjoyed today. Adedimeji emphasized the movie’s theme of appreciating freedom through understanding the sacrifices made by those who came before.

“If you understand the consequences of condescending captivity, you’ll appreciate the power of freedom,” he said. “This movie will show you what our heroes went through to gift us the liberty we enjoy today.”

As anticipation builds for the release of “Lisabi – The Uprising,” Adedimeji invites fans to celebrate this milestone with him. “This one is for you and every child of our land. You will love it!” he declared.
