Big Brother Naija star Francisca Owumi has passed away following a brief illness. Her family announced the sad news on August 29, 2024, via a social media post.
The family shared her photos with the poignant caption: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Francisca Owumi, who was the first runner-up on the inaugural Big Brother Nigeria reality television show in 2006, is remembered for her vibrant personality and impressive dance moves. During her time on the show, she competed alongside notable housemates such as Katung Aduwak, who won the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, Ify Ejikeme, and the late Joseph Ada.
After her time on Big Brother Nigeria, Francisca ventured into the Nigerian music scene, releasing two singles: “Gbadun You” and “Diva.”
Her contributions to the entertainment industry and her spirited presence will be fondly remembered. May her soul rest in peace.
