On Monday, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. Ajaero was reportedly en route to the United Kingdom to attend the Trade Union Congress conference in London at the time of his arrest.
The NLC President is currently under investigation for alleged terrorism financing, among other charges. Further details will be provided as the situation develops.
