Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the escalating hunger and economic hardship affecting Nigerians.
Speaking to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker and member of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), emphasized the need for swift and impactful measures to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
He acknowledged that while President Tinubu is working hard to address the economic challenges, the current hardship, marked by soaring prices of essential items like food, petrol, electricity, and cooking gas, demands a more rapid response.
Oyintiloye further warned that the recent increase in fuel prices would only exacerbate the existing difficulties faced by Nigerians, urging the President to act swiftly.
“Nigerians are hopeful that there will be a turnaround, but measures to achieve this must be accelerated,” he said. He called on the government to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles that hinder the quick implementation of policies designed to relieve the masses.
“The economic suffering is becoming unbearable, and Nigerians are hungry. The President must act fast,” Oyintiloye concluded.
