President Bola Tinubu, during his recent visit to Beijing, pledged to bring the quality infrastructure he observed in China to Nigeria. Speaking at a meeting with Nigerians in China, held at the China World Hotel, Tinubu highlighted his discussions with Chinese leaders, including President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, as well as his participation in the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit.
Tinubu described his visit to China as “very good and successful,” expressing his intent to model Nigeria’s infrastructure on China’s advanced systems. He emphasized the need for improved educational facilities, innovative teaching methods, and flourishing businesses.
The President addressed the Nigerian community, urging them to continue representing Nigeria positively. He stressed the importance of discipline and commitment, citing China’s disciplined society as a model for Nigerians to emulate.
Tinubu also discussed the ongoing reforms in Nigeria and the necessity of making tough decisions to ensure future development. He mentioned the recent increase in fuel prices as a step towards paving the way for better infrastructure, including reliable roads, consistent electricity, and quality education.
