Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr has strongly condemned the murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Christianah was allegedly killed by her friend, Ayomide Adeleye, who is suspected to be a serial killer.
In a post on her official X page, Ayra Starr called for swift justice and highlighted the urgent need to address violence against women. She wrote, “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah.”
The case has drawn significant attention following revelations that Adeleye, who had been a close friend of Christianah, abducted, murdered, and buried her body in his compound. Investigations have also linked Adeleye to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and sister in separate incidents in 2018 and 2020.
The Nigerian Army arrested Adeleye, and he has been transferred to the Lagos Police Command for further investigation.
