Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have finalized a deal for Julian Alvarez valued at up to £82m (€95m). The agreement includes an upfront payment of £64m (€75m), with additional fees coming from various add-ons. This transfer marks a record sale for City, generating a significant profit from the £14m they paid River Plate for Alvarez in January 2022.
Since joining City, Alvarez has made 103 appearances, scoring 36 goals. He has contributed to winning two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup titles in 2023. Additionally, he was part of Argentina’s squad that won the 2022 World Cup and the Copa America earlier this year.
